Back in September, coolwhipdiva won my humble services in the Donors Choose charity auction, for an AI story of 5000+ words. Suddenly love didn't seem like such a scary prospect after all.

He unexpectedly finds a home and a family there, but when the summer's over he's torn away from it and placed with a family in the city; in return for having a good school to attend to finish his senior year, he's asked to befriend their shut-in son, a young man named Jensen who hasn't had an easy time of it either.

Finished, at last!

Written for the Jeff, Jared and Just About Anybody Else Fic Challenge. I'm just about, oh, five days late. But better late than never, right? This is not actually the story I at first intended to write for the challenge, but that one grew entirely too unwieldly for the timeframe I had to work with. Hopefully it will see the light of day one day soon too.


Signs and Wonders
When five college friends reunite for a weekend getaway, they think the rumors of a ghost haunting the Singer House will be an excuse for romance and excitement. No one expects the ghost of Mary Singer to actually make an appearance.

Apparently the whole reason I make arbitrary early deadlines for myself (in this case December 31, January 10 and January 12) is so that I can miss them relatively guilt free and write up to the actual deadline. Every time I write lately, it seems like the story ends up way longer than I expected when I started it.

But at long last! This was written for spn_j2_xmas for that_september.
