A little long while ago I signed up at [livejournal.com profile] 20_claims to write stories about Gregory Goyle. Here, finally, is one of them. Prompt 27: Parents. This is actually a story I've been wanting to write for a while, with or without a prompt, about one possible version of the hows and whys of Gregory Goyle.

Title: Samuel Goyle's Monster
Characters: Gregory Goyle, and his father
Rating: PG
Length: 1,200 words
Disclaimer: Characters and universe not mine, and borrowed with affection.
Summary: Goyle would do anything for the Dark Lord.

Gregory was born a robust and bright young lad, a bit smaller than Samuel would have liked but healthy all the same. )
This was originally posted elsewhere about a week and a half ago, for the birthday of the most lovely [livejournal.com profile] yeats. =)

Title: First, Last, Only
Pairing: Sirius/Remus, Lucius/Narcissa
Rating: adult
Length: 2300 words
Disclaimer: Characters and universe not mine, and borrowed with affection.
Summary: Sirius always keeps his promises.

To being slaves to the Ministry... )
And the last of the reveals are live! (Well, they have been for a day or two, but I've been catching up on things.)

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] ou_topos for the spectacularly clever [livejournal.com profile] merry_smutmas gift The Shrivelfig Bandit & Other Stories (Snape/Draco)!

I wrote:
All of Us Immortal, for [livejournal.com profile] ziasudra_fic
Snape/Lucius, NC-17, 3100 words
Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] lauriegilbert, [livejournal.com profile] hidez and [livejournal.com profile] cathybites, all of whom offered suggestions on various parts of the story, but I confess that no one person ever saw the whole thing.

It was my first time really writing Snape (despite my love of reading him), and my first time writing dub-con (or non-con), but it was a great challenge and I loved doing it.

And then thank you to [livejournal.com profile] _geekie_ for the very hot [livejournal.com profile] smutty_claus gift The Rocking Horse (Millicent/Neville)!

I wrote:
Blood and Thorns: A Fairy Tale, for [livejournal.com profile] netbyrd
Arthur/Molly, NC-17, 3800 words
Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] rosesanguina, who helped me make the reckless decision to change the setting of the story at the eleventh hour (and rightly so).

I started this one a few times before finally finding my rhythm with a story based (loosely) on Rapunzel. It was so exciting to have a request for Arthur/Molly!

I don't think I could have written two more different stories for these challenges. At least, not without necro, or unicorns and rainbows... well, there's always next year. =)
The score stands thus:

CJ: 1 Router: 1

I have conquered the firmware and connectivity issue, but I still fail at wireless. Maybe I'll try to deal with that tomorrow. Bah.

Another reveal has gone live, so I can tell those who care about popslash that I wrote Nickolas Carter and the Hammer of Doom, an AU choose-your-own-adventure for Zoicite.

I was told that I absolutely should share the outline for this story if and when I actually pulled it off, so here it is. Scenes were highlighted as I wrote them (the few that aren't highlighted sadly never made it into the story, which is a shame because the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern ending would have been awesome), and arrows are... well, you know how CYOA works.

Outline for Nickolas Carter and the Hammer of Doom

ETA: Okay, the problem this time appears to be with the laptop and not with the router. Can't things just work the way they're supposed to right out of the box?

ETA2: *wins at wireless* Everything working like a dream now.
Apparently I didn't completely sabotage myself on that job; I have an interview tomorrow afternoon. A huge relief in a dozen ways, I swear, whether I get it or not. Though I'd love to get it.

The novel is actually progressing again. Not particularly well, but progressing, which is all I ask. I clearly blew my wad on the past three years. I have nothing to complain about. And [livejournal.com profile] yuletide assignment has been received! And it is exciting! And I'm humming Santa Baby for no good reason.

It's probably painfully clear by now that I do whatever [livejournal.com profile] hidez tells me. Though apparently I still manage to surprise her every time:

heidi: 'harry and draco working together during the war' )
