There's a funny story behind how this became my
blackdress_adam story instead of what I originally started, but...well, it's probably a story for another time. I always knew I was going to fuse him with Highlander, though. With special thanks to

This should still be comprehensible even if you don't really know Highlander canon. The Lord Byron in this story is the one depicted on the show (episode 518: The Modern Prometheus), but other than some creative liberties taken by the source canon he's still the historical figure. And for anyone who knows Highlander but not necessarily the referenced episode, the man identifying himself as Doc Adams during this time period is better known as Adam Pierson, or Methos.

Summary: Adam Lambert died on a summer night in 1597, stabbed in an alley on his way home from a successful performance. An hour after that he sat up again and took his first frantic breath as an immortal. Over two hundred years later, at the invitation of his old friend Doctor Benjamin Adams, he arrives at Villa Diodati on the shores of Lake Geneva to meet the notorious Lord Byron, Doc's newest immortal student.
