My brain is starting to lose the ability to parse sentences, so I think it's time to call it a night. Still spending a big chunk of my time sleeping. Very glad I have another week off to actually enjoy.

4 recs in Dead Poets Society, Cairo Time, Veep, and Shakespeare - The Tempest:

Apo Koinou [ Dead Poets Society, Neil/Todd ]
This is a beloved canon and one that never fails to elicit an emotional response from me, and this...it takes that response and it nurtures it and it takes you through all of the in-betweens and the afterwards that the movie doesn't, and in the end you feel a little bit transformed.

and the world turned [ Cairo Time ]
This is a brief, gentle look at Juliette's feelings about her husband and Tareq and her life, and something about it really resonates with me.

With Benefits [ Veep ]
The Amy voice in this is just out-of-this-world perfect.

Anemophilia [ Shakespeare - The Tempest ]
A tragically beautiful and insightful look at Ariel.

"I am Ariel, and I am the god of this island."

"Praise be to you, Ariel," the woman said, and made her calloused hand into an O. He felt something snap around him, a metal band, not soft like copper but hard like the nails in the boats. "I am Sycorax, and I am the goddess of you."
