December Round-up

This month I wrote 24,200 words and posted 8 stories in 7 fandoms (6 of which are Yuletide stories that I'll be revealing in a separate post), ranging from 700 to 5500 words. It's not quite what I was aiming for, but it's not bad, I think. I'm going to do a 2010 Round-up later too, to look at what I accomplished (or didn't accomplish, but mostly accomplished!) this year in writing.
Movies and books, December 2010:
QI [Series 1]
QI [Series 2]
A View To A Kill
QI [Series 3]
Highlander
QI [Series 7]
A Bit of Fry and Laurie [Series 1]
The Sing Off [Season 1]
Gremlins
Revenge of the Nerds
QI [Series 6]
QI [Series 4]
Jonathan Creek [Series 1]
Jonathan Creek [Series 2]
QI [Series 5]
The Sing Off [Season 2]
Dance Me Outside
The Little Mermaid
Double Happiness
New Waterford Girl
24 Hour Party People
Breakfast With Scot
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Mamma Mia!
Doctor Who [Series 5]
The A-Team [Season 1]
Black Swan
Gunless
If you know all of these shows then you'll see some obvious associations between them, but while I did rewatch A Bit of Fry and Laurie because I'd finally been mainlining all of QI and not just watching random episodes from time to time, the Jonathan Creek is actually because of Whites.
and then also
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall: Women Writers Explore Their Favorite Fairy Tales - Kate Bernheimer, Ed.
Some of these essays I loved, some less so, and some I think I just didn't get, but overall a really fascinating and valuable collection.
A Christmas Carol - Charles Dickens
A perennial December read. :D
and also, a few items from November that I omitted from my last round-up for fear of revealing my Yuletide assignment:
Big Trouble in Little China
Back to the Future
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Volume 1
Ghostbusters
Weird Science
And wow, that really earned its lj-cut this month.
