So, March happened. I wrote 75,652 words, and posted 17 ficlets and stories in 3 fandoms, ranging between roughly 700 and 26,000 words. Three of the stories were 15,000 words+, and I finally finished a lot of things that had been on my plate for a while.

In spite of saying I wouldn't increase my daily goal, I did end up upping it to 2500 words, and other than the weekend I was extremely sick I didn't have any trouble making that until I kind of fell apart during the last three days of the month. I didn't feel entirely great about it though, and I think at least part of that is because of how those words were actually distributed. So in April that's where I'm putting more of my focus.

And, as always, movies and books, March 2010:

Star Trek
Peter Pan
X-Files: Season 5 (so badass)
Star Trek
Paris is Burning
Lost Boys
X-Files: Season 6 (wow, there was so much msr)
The Fifth Element
The Day After Tomorrow
The Perfect Storm
X-Files: Season 7 (the last one I watched regularly when it aired)
Pan's Labyrinth
Under the Tuscan Sun
Titanic (well, disc 2, anyway)
X-Files: Season 8 (a lot of which I'd actually never seen before)
The Broken Hearts Club
Breakfast With Scot
Kissing Jessica Stein

A lot more movies this month! Though they weren't spread out at all, I'd usually marathon for a day and then not watch anything (other than X-files) for a week.

And then books:

John Joseph Adams, ed. - Wastelands: Stories of the Apocalypse
- READ THIS BOOK. It says it gathers together the best post-apocalyptic literature of the past two decades and it so totally does.

Anne McCaffrey - Crystal Singer
Anne McCaffrey - Killashandra
- I reread these the weekend I was sick. OMG Killashandra is such a Mary Sue. These are just comfortably familiar brain candy. :)

C.C. Bridges - Beyond Meridian (novella)
- I've been meaning to read this since it was released since I know I enjoy the author's writing, and it didn't disappoint.

I'm not reading quite as many books as I hoped this year, but I feel like at least I'm keeping a more respectable past than last year.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] ontd_ai_gives is holding a dollar drive for TOMS shoes right now, and I'm offering AI/CRACK ficlets-for-donations once again. I know a couple of people wanted to know when I would be doing that, so if you're interested, my thread is here. (Post is locked but membership is open.)

I'm an apocalypse junkie in general, but I was really impressed with the quality and variety of the stories in it.
