So about three weeks ago I went in for my yearly physical and my doctor was, like, "Oh, hai, you have a heart murmur." (Okay, that's paraphrased slightly.) So I've spent the past three weeks mildly freaked out, waiting for the results of the battery of tests he sent me for. One of which was an echocardiogram which meant I watched my own heart beat, which is both awesome and terrifying. But anyway, long story short, I went in today and everything is okay. All my results of every single test are completely within normal ranges. I am normal! Well, medically speaking anyway. I am so freaking relieved right now.

I've done my tallying (okay, I didn't actually have to; I'm weird and have self-calculating spreadsheets), and have discovered that I wrote 33,404 words (of fiction) in January. This is a little short of my 50,000-word-a-month goal, but I'm definitely not unhappy with it. Also, I watched 30 movies but read only 2 books. As well, I discovered the only thing I really miss about not having cable anymore is not being able to watch PBR on Saturday nights.

And as I'm in my favourite coffeeshop right now (seriously, I don't even have to order anymore; I set up my laptop at a table by the window and by the time I get up to the counter my drink's ready), I'm going to get back to upping my February word count now. :)

ETA: Okay, also, Leverage was renewed for a second season. This makes me very happy.
