Apparently the skull of Oliver Welles is going to be my default Yuletide icon. I feel pretty good about that.

So yes, the Yuletide archive is open! And I was lucky enough to get two stories this year:

even if you haven't had the questions yet (ReGenesis: David/Carlos)

This is just a gorgeous exploration of two characters that I adore, watching them cope with a situation that hits them equally strongly in different ways, and seeing who and what they are and what they can be to one another. I'm just so thrilled with this.

Christmas Duty (Hex, Thelma/Cassie)

This is such a sweet little treat to discover alongside my present! The characterisation is wonderful and I love glimpsing this little moment of happiness, even if I know where their lives ultimately lead.

As well, allow me to be among the first (of what I expect will be many, in widely varying tones of voice) to say: Have you read the Bert/Ernie yet?!

Oh man, I love yultetide...even if I did go like this O_o when I saw that I had 5 stories. Christ, what's wrong with people? haha

Yuletide is like candy. I don't think I'll be able to explain to the fam that gifts, not as cool as some of the stuff written for that.
