Thank you so much for this, it's such an amazing comment! As I was writing it (and I actually wrote the first fledgling notes for it back last year), I realized it was straddling the line between between a fun romp and being something more serious. For a while I struggled with figuring out which it really wanted to be, and I hope that in the end I found a good balance between the two sides of it. :) It started out as something frivolous, but there were just so many interesting issues--particularly to do with identity and all the different forms it takes--to explore.
