cjmarloweI'm half an hour into the second of July, but I still don't think it's too late for this post.
Three years ago now, on July 1, I packed my life into a truck and headed east to Toronto, with a place to live but no job, no anything, just a few hopes and dreams. They say it takes you three years to really settle into a place and have it feel like home, but I knew this place was home just about right from the start.
That said, I gave notice on my apartment today which was bittersweet. I really wanted this place to be the one where I stayed until I'd saved enough to buy a place of my own, but it wasn't meant to be. Maybe I'll be luckier with the next one. Now I just need to find a fantastic and affordable apartment by September the first....
Oh, right, and happy slightly-belated Canada Day. :)
