day the third
Dec. 28th, 2010 10:46 amI love Yuletide, you guys. I do. There are so many stories that you'd just never see any other time of the year, because there's such a small audience for them or because people would just never think to write them. It's the greatest source of holiday joy for me. And so I wanted to say, since I'm actually doing recs this year, that there are a lot of exceptional stories in the Yuletide archive, and these recs are definitely not the sum total of everything I enjoyed. Really, it's more of a list of the stories that I really connected with.
Also, I love the kudos button on AO3. There's definitely no qualitative difference between my choice to use it or to write a comment; sometimes I have something specific to say or ask, and sometimes I just want to say "Hey, I really liked this!" And it is extremely useful when it's 3 am and I've just read something awesome and I'm thinking "I can't even string three words together right now, I'll just come back later" (but then never do).
One day I'll actually post these before I go to bed instead of crashing and posting them in the morning.
( 6 recs in Monty Python RPF, Rubicon, Alice in Wonderland/Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Sky High, and Warehouse 13 )
